Paul Schrader


Paul Schrader is an influential American filmmaker and screenwriter and best known for writing the screenplays for four of Martin Scorsese's most acclaimed films: Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), and Bringing Out the Dead(1999).

 

 

Some of his most notable directed works include:

Blue Collar (1978) – His directorial debut.

American Gigolo (1980) – Starring Richard Gere.

Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985) – Widely considered his masterpiece.

Light Sleeper (1992) – A personal study of a drug dealer.
