Like a butterfly embracing the beauty of a single flower, she likes to focus on the unnoticed – those things that we all look at, but never really see.

I’ve always been a “why” person. Curious about what shapes us, what moves us, and how two people can experience the same moment so differently. That curiosity is at the heart of my photography.
Over more than two decades, my journey has taken me across 89 countries. Along the way, the encounters have stayed with me as much as the landscapes: conversations with strangers, invitations into unfamiliar lives, and moments of connection that needed no shared language. Each has influenced how I see, and how I photograph.
My background in psychology informs the attention I bring to people. I’m interested in the details that emerge when someone feels comfortable enough to be themselves—their gestures, humour, energy and the way they relate to those around them. Every person brings a history that extends beyond the frame. I approach that with curiosity, care and respect.
This same instinct runs through my travel and tourism, events, music and portrait photography. A destination has a rhythm shaped by everyday life. A performance creates a fleeting connection between an artist and a crowd. A celebration holds dozens of individual stories within one shared experience. I look for what makes each distinct, and the photographs that might help someone else feel it.
My journey includes serving as a Canon South Africa Brand Ambassador and exhibiting with Leica in New York. It also carries a deeply personal thread: a promise I made to my father at sixteen to pursue a life in photography. That promise continues to give meaning to the work and to the stories I am trusted to tell.
Through Kzara Visual, I create photographs that invite a second look. Images that hold a feeling, leave room for questions, and remind us how much there is to discover when we give someone—or somewhere—our full attention.

Stories that open conversations
Speaking gives me another way to connect through stories. Drawing on my experiences in photography, travel and entrepreneurship, I share the questions, choices and lessons that have shaped my journey—and invite others to reflect on their own.
My speaking engagements include Bansko Nomad Fest, Italian Nomad Fest, Swiss Nomad Fest, Turkey Nomad Fest and the inaugural Bansko Content Creator Fest.
At the heart of my talks is a belief that our individual experiences have something to offer others. I want people to leave feeling curious about what they could create, confident that their perspective matters, and willing to take the next step towards a life that feels their own.

Workshop : The Invisible Lens: How Your Story Shapes What You See
Two people can stand in the same place and see entirely different stories. What draws your attention—and what passes unnoticed—is shaped by a lifetime of memories, emotions and experiences.
Join me for an interactive workshop exploring the personal perspective behind your photographs. Drawing on my background in psychology and more than two decades of photography across 89 countries, I’ll invite you to consider how your own story influences the images you create.
Together, we’ll explore how recognising that influence can help you tell more thoughtful, emotionally engaging stories. Stories that reveal something about the world you’re photographing, and something about you.

Your memories, culture and lived experiences influence every story you tell. What happens when you begin creating with a deeper understanding of that perspective?
This session explores how our personal stories can shape photography and video that connect across cultures. Through reflection on the experiences that make each of us unique, it invites participants to create with greater intention, emotional honesty and confidence in their own voice.
